Wash and chop the all the vegetables.
In a medium pot fry the leek for 5min on high heat.
Lower the heat to medium and toss in the potatoes, turnip and carrots, fry for 2min.
Add the garlic and paprika and cook for another 2min.
Add the stock and water to the pot, bring to a boil.
Cover the pot with a lid, lower the heat and simmer for 1hour.
Decant ½ of the soup, blend it and return to the pot.
Debone the mackerel and discard the skin, chop it into small pieces and add to the pot.
Add salt and pepper and simmer for 5min.
